Ladypink is a unique piece from the Wonderbox series : sculptural works that can be used as a box to store all your wonders. This sculptural box is composed of two elements that are stacked. The modelling of the apples and the glazing work are inspired by Cézanne's still lifes.

Claire Lézier (b.1988, FR) lives and works in Brussels.
Graduated from the École supérieure des Métiers d’arts d’Arras (ceramics) (FR).
In addition to the technical challenges and the search for virtuosity, she tries to infuse her works with a certain reverie tinged with humor, tending towards magic and SF universes. The functional dimension, although secondary, is recurrent in her pieces. It is a pretext and brings a new level of reading. Box, candlestick, table, vase: the usual object is linked to the history of ceramics and its uses. Thus inviting a tactile and functional reading of her sculpture, Claire desacralizes through touch and democratizes the question of the work of art.

MATERIALS :
stoneware, glaze

DIMENSIONS :
H25 x 28 x 28 cm

Unique piece, handmade in Belgium, 2021.
