P60L LOUNGE CHAIR by ROBIN BERREWAERTS
P60L LOUNGE CHAIR by ROBIN BERREWAERTS
P60L Lounge Chair is a unique piece (reproducible, but as each piece is handmade, there are always small variations making each chair unique) made of solid oak by Robin Berrewaerts in Brussels, Belgium.
Robin Berrewaerts (b.1991, BE) lives and works in Brussels (BE). Graduated as an interior designer at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, followed by a postgraduate in furniture design at the Thomas More School in Mechelen (BE).
His work is situated between furniture and sculpture with a strong emphasis on materiality and craftsmanship. Whether straight from a tree or industrially processed, wood manifests itself in a large variety. It comes with its own processes, techniques and peculiarities of language and vocabulary. Most of his works make use of black. The act of making the piece black, whether oxidizing, burning or painting finalizes the energy he has put into the material. It marks the end of the journey.
