‘Chauchat’ is a unique piece, handmade in 2021 in France by Arthur Ristor.

For FRACAS gallery, Arthur has created a series of lamps using the stained glass assembly technique known as 'Tiffany'. Arthur reinterprets the forms, bypasses the perfect geometric shapes, plays with colors, and sublimates the imperfections, making a nod to the Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

'Chauchat' hybridize between the sculpture allowing light to pass through and the functional object projecting its own light.

Arthur Ristor (b.1991) is a designer and artist based in Paris. His practice leads him to self-produce lighting and other furniture by combining various techniques such as stained glass and textiles. These pieces are to be considered as artefacts from a fictional world of strange shapes and saturated colors.
